How does the ordering process work?
Our bags are handcrafted for you! All bags are currently on a ‘made to order’ basis. Therefore, they are sewn after your order is processed. The lead time before shipping is currently 2-3 weeks If you are on a tight timeline, please send us an email before placing the order and we may be able to accommodate!
What is your quality guarantee?
We offer a lifetime warranty on damage that occurs at the fault of craftsmanship. We cannot offer warranty due to normal wear and tear or damage caused by owner of bag. However we may be able to repair bag for nominal fee. Please send us an email with details of the damage and we will let you know!

Currently we offer shipping across Canada and USA
How much does shipping cost?
Flat rate shipping across Canada is $14. Orders above $200 ship for free across Canada. Shipping costs for USA are quoted upon checkout. If you need an order faster, please email us for an express shipping quote.
Is there a local pick up option?
Yes! Pick up is available from Rockwood Ontario. Please select that option at checkout.
Do you offer returns/ exchange?
R. Gallops will gladly accept return or exchange of merchandise in original condition, within 7 days of purchase (in person) or 7 days of receiving package. All items on sale or sold with discount code are final sale. Return shipping cost is at customer’s expense. Please note, return policy applies to gifts as well. If you are not sure what to purchase recipient, you may prefer a gift card which can be redeemed at any time for a bag of their choice.

Do you make custom bags?
All of our current lineup of bags are available in a variety of fabrics. If you see a bag that you like but want a different colour, print or hardware, please let us know and we will email you options. We can also offer some modifications in size or features (adding pocket etc.) We are regularly designing new products to add to the collection, so please let us know what you would like to see!
Do you offer repairs?
Send us an email with details and picture of item that needs repair and we will give you a quote. We do not repair other brands of bags.
How do I care for my bag?
Our bags are not machine washable but can usually easily be spot cleaned with a damp sponge and mild detergent. Waxed canvas bags should be cleaned only with damp sponge and saddle soap if needed. Extreme heat and harsh detergents will degrade the waxed canvas. Fabric can be rewaxed, we recommend Otterwax or Martinex wax. Leather handles should be cleaned with leather soap and conditioned as needed.

It all started on my search for a quality tote bag. I wanted something exceptional, something with beautiful patterned floral fabrics, or maybe whimsical prints of dogs or horses. I couldn't find anything I liked so I bought a sewing machine and decided to take matters into my own hands (literally).
I design and make every bag at my farm workshop in Rockwood Ontario. I have always enjoyed the process of designing and creating. I’ve spent several years perfecting bags for myself, family and friends, and then in 2022 I launched my online store. In a world of disposable mass marketed products, my mission is simply to provide you with exceptional quality.
